Édouard Fritch, President of French Polynesia
フリッチ、タヒチ大統領と二人きりで30分ほどお話することができました。頭脳明晰な方で、いろいろな数字（ノニの年ごとの輸出量からピッカーの数、日本人の観光客の数や推移など）が淀みなくでてきます。一番、盛り上がったのは、考古学についてです。二人とも篠遠喜彦先生（昨年、亡くなったポリネシア考古学の碩学です。ぜひ、「楽園考古学」を読んでみてください）のファンで、随分と語り合いました。ツアモツの首飾りもいただき、感激しました。家宝にしないといけません。
最後にちょっとした「ワイルドアイデア」を話し合い、ハイファイブしました。タヒチの経済を環境負荷なしで高める方法です。実現できたら、いいなぁ〜♫
It’s my honor to talk to the President of French Polynesia, E. Fritch. He is incredibly brilliant and remember many numbers such as export amount of noni fruits each year or tourists from Japan. We had a good time to talk about archeology. We are fan of Dr. Yoshihiko Sinoto, a famous Polynesian archeologist. After the talk, he gave me a gift, shell leis from Tuamotu. It will be my treasure.
In the end, we discussed a wild idea for Tahiti. Wish the wild idea comes trues sometime.
