420000 kids develop cancer every year
今週のサイエンス誌の特集は「小児がん」。毎年、４２万人の子供がガンにかかります。先進国の５年生存率は８０％。新興国は３０％以下です。診断が遅く、医療機会も少なく、医療格差は激しいのです。
こういった事実に触れるたびに、革新的なガンの治療薬が植物から開発され、その利益（収穫、生産、特許、ライセンス料など）が貧しい国に還元されるないかと考えます。
ノニジュースのすばらしさは、国に還元するシステムです。医薬品にもそのような仕組みがあれば良いのですが。
Each year approx. 429,000 children develop cancer. Five-year survival rates exceed 80% in high-income countries (HICs) while less than 30% in lower-middle-income countries (LMICs). 
Looking at the brutal facts, I am looking for the system that innovative anti-cancer drug is developed, and all profits (harvesting, patent, production, and license fees) go to the poor countries.
The beauty of Morinda system is to return the profits to French Polynesia society. Hope the similar system is developed for cancer treatment as well.
